Choral Music of
C. F. Boyd

    Clifford Boyd (1930 - 2002) has been Organist and Choirmaster at several Anglican Churches in Adelaide, South Australia, including:

Marryatville, St. Matthew; Prospect, St. Cuthbert; St. Peters, All Souls; Unley, St. Augustine; and Lockleys, St. Richard of Chichester.

    He was also Sub-organist at Adelaide's Anglican Cathedral Church of St. Peter for nine years, and, in 1965, founded The Quire St Nicolas, a choral group specialising in English Church Music.

    Music listed on the following pages may be freely photocopied, rehearsed and performed by choirs but must not be reproduced for commercial gain without the express permission of the composer (and author where applicable).

Organ accompaniments for unison verses of selected hymns linked to scores and MIDI sound.

CHORAL COMPOSITIONS
A collection of anthems, motets, canticles, hymn tunes, chants, etc. Mostly for SATB with score and MIDI sound.

A note about hyphenation in vocal scores .
A proposed method to clarify hyphenated text in choral scores with an invitation to comment.

Arranging for the smaller choir .
Where it is found difficult to find singers for all of the parts in conventional SATB choral scores.

FANFARES 
Trumpet fanfares are an effective way to intoduce hymns on festive occasions. Examples shown have scores and MIDI sound.

    The sheet music in these web pages may be freely copied for printing, however the files are in .gif format which may not be suitable to photocopy for choir use.  A print copy (posted free of cost!) is available from the Boyd family.
